Work in Schools Our work in schools is extensive and varied. The multi-cultural aspect of our work provides a useful 'jumping off' point for much follow on work, and we are happy to work with groups of all ages from nursery upwards and any size, though we feel that class sizes or smaller give children the best quality experience. Children enjoy the visual focus of the puppets, which captivate their attention initially, before they are swept away on a magic carpet ride of the imagination as the stories unfold. Teachers have often expressed astonishment as normally unruy children sit silent and agog throughout the sessions. We are happy to spend a day or half day simply storytelling, or we can tailor our work for a particular project or event, combining storytelling with art or craft work, spending several days if required. We can also offer work with groups of parents and children or parents on their own to build confidence and to promote parent school relationships and to encourage parents to engage creatively with their children. |
